QEF, the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for disabled people, are to host the one day event at the QEF mobility centre in Carlsheaton, London. QEF is a national charity committed to providing life-transforming services that enable people with disabilities to increase their independence and achieve their goals in life. They work with over 4,000 children and adults every year with physical or learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Whether it’s gaining new skills to live independently, rehabilitation after a brain injury or stroke, or improving independence through increased mobility and accessible holidays; QEF helps disabled people to fulfil their potential in life.

The QEF equipment fair for children with disabilities will see over 35 exhibitors gather to provide demonstrations, free assessments, talks and training for disabled children, their families and therapists. At the 2018 event, talks are based on a ‘leisure’ theme, including discussions on toy adaptations, special cycling, holiday locations and playing musical instruments.

AVH will showcase one of its adapted vehicles at the event, one of many in a wide range of vehicles suitable for clients with various disabilities. Frances Waight, Operations Manager, and Dave Fenneberg will be at the AVH stand on the day of the event. QEF Kids will take place on 20 April 2018 between 10am to 3pm.
